Swoosh is the idea of an interface I had for tackling my everyday travel challenges in urban India through a unified cab booking experience. A single-app solution streamlining city travel, eliminating the need to switch between apps like Ola and Uber whist providing key features like Fare Comparison, Live Tracking and Explore, enriching the commuting experience for the user. In other words, a Makemytrip for cabs!
As a designer, the biggest challenge I faced was to have the the app coded out from scratch because of my lack of knowledge in coding and development. But the timing of the idea coincided with the launch of ChatGPT which gave me a launch pad to get started.
Swoosh in it's MVP format was coded and designed in just 7 days. Through interviews and initial user testings, I had accumulated a considerable amount of critical feedback, further driving the vision of enhancing the user experience and having my idea and it's subsequent solution validated. Soon after, the UI/UX was refined on Figma and coded out with the help of my friend, Mr.GPT. And finally, under heavy cups of caffeine and sleepless night, Swoosh was launched a month later on the Playstore on October 20th 2023. In just 8 days post-launch, the app saw 2,500+ installations and keeps continuing to grow.
